CURTIS MILLER’S passion is creating a service that exceeds his customers’ needs, facilitates rural life and builds community. He grew up rural outside Portland, Oregon. Curtis spent his summers working local farms and ranches. His focus in High School was architectural drafting and engineering in which he won several awards. Curtis spent the years during college working in construction where he honed his skills and developed a passion for exacting craftsmanship. He also worked with students as a counselor at Crossroads Community Church. After graduation, several years as a pastor gave Curtis some of the important tools necessary in working with people. Time in ministry and 15 years owning a construction company deepened his desire to see needs met and satisfied customers developed.

LOREN SICKLES derives immense satisfaction from helping people successfully complete their building projects. Having worked in all aspects of the construction process, Loren now strives to raise the level of professionalism within the industry. He continually seeks to increase his own knowledge and skills through conferences, workshops and certifications such as ICC and CESCL. His formative years were spent near Anchorage, Alaska where his keen interest in outdoor sports began. Loren’s first exposure to construction was helping to build a bathroom facility for a youth camp in Scotland. The experience was so fulfilling, he then participated in four construction projects in Europe, Africa and the South Pacific. Loren pursued Graphic Arts during college and a decade beyond but then embarked on his career in the building industry.

MELEEA MILLER grew up in the Northwest. She has spent her adult life involved in people centered activities, both career and volunteering. Meleea is a gifted shepherd with a compassionate and caring memory for the details of people’s lives and relationships. We rely heavily on her to set the pace as we take care of those who have entrusted us with their projects. In the realm of efficiency and organization, Meleea can get more tasks accomplished in one hour than most can in a day. She simplifies the financial aspects of projects in the construction realm. Meleea has also invested herself in graphic design and photography. Her eye for aesthetics complements the large projects and graphic design elements of Darby endeavors.
