RURAL CODE OF ETHICS

In as much as it is my belief that my reputation in the building industry and in my craft is dependent upon my devotion to the highest ideals of honesty, courtesy and integrity, as evidenced by my willingness to conduct business in a spirit of fairness and equality for all; and in as much as Darby Rural Corporation has dedicated itself to the same high ideals of professional responsibility; I hereby agree to abide by and conduct business in accordance with the following Rural Code of Ethics:

• I will endeavor to abide by present and future standards of Darby Rural Corporation and the Rural Code of Ethics.
• I will at all times exercise the utmost integrity in all of my business transactions and in all my relations with customers, employees, suppliers and competitors.
• I will refrain from the use of false or misleading advertising.
• I will honor the written and approved purchase agreement and change orders of my customers.
• I will make no false statements about my competitors’ product, business, financial or personal standing.
• I will make every effort to preserve my customers’ trust and good faith by providing the service and repair parts which they may need.
• I will dedicate myself to the promotion of professionalism and quality craftsmanship within my industry
• I will work diligently to build and perpetuate continuing consumer faith and trust in Darby Rural Corporation and its network of vendors.
• I will faithfully stand behind the work I perform and the products I sell in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations and warranty. I will, in good faith, procure necessary building permits and furnish to the proper building authorities all certifications that are required of me regarding professional or structural engineering and loading standards.
• I will abide by all building regulations, codes and other laws pertaining to my personal and business practices.
• I will encourage fellow employees, fellow preferred vendors of Darby Rural Corporation and my colleagues to adhere to and promote the values of the Rural Code of Ethics.
• I will search out, encourage and raise up others in my industry who demonstrate appropriate character and integrity in craftsmanship to further the values of the Rural Code of Ethics.
• I will pursue and take advantage of opportunities to invest in those who make up the community of customers and vendors in order to encourage mutual benefit.
• I will provide preferred pricing to customers referred to me by Darby Rural Corporation.
• I will guarantee quality and customer service standards reflecting the highest standards in my industry.
• I will hold accountable those craftsmen and professionals who have committed to the Rural Code of Ethics by personally encouraging adherence.
• I agree that if for some reason in the future I choose to no longer abide by the standards of conduct described in the Rural Code of Ethics, I will willingly and cooperatively remove myself from membership.
